She is a distinguished microbiologist, researcher, academician, and science entrepreneur, and the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of BJ Micro Lab (SMC Private) Limited, a Pakistan-based research and development organization established to promote innovation, scientific research, and hands-on STEM education. She holds a PhD in Molecular Medicine/Nanobiotechnology from COMSATS University Islamabad and has extensive experience in microbiology, molecular biology, nanobiotechnology, antimicrobial resistance, molecular diagnostics, and biomedical research. She is an HEC-approved research supervisor for MPhil and PhD programs and has served in academic and research positions, including at the National University of Medical Sciences (NUMS). Dr. Jamil has contributed to numerous national and international research publications and book chapters and has presented her research at international scientific forums. Through BJ Micro Lab, she has created a platform that bridges academic research with practical laboratory training, supporting students, researchers, universities, and organizations through research services, molecular biology, microbiology, genetic analysis, PCR-based techniques, antimicrobial testing, and scientific training. Her vision is to strengthen Pakistan’s research ecosystem by empowering young scientists, encouraging women in STEM, and transforming scientific knowledge into meaningful research, innovation, and societal impact.
